Hootsuite Named as Finalist in Two Categories of the 15th Annual Shorty Awards
Global social media management leader up for two Shorty Awards
VANCOUVER, BC — APRIL 20, 2023 — Hootsuite is proud to announce that it has been named as a finalist in the 15th Annual Shorty Awards within two distinct categories—the Rebrand Campaign Category, for its ‘Your Guide to the Wild’ campaign, and the LinkedIn Presence Category, as part of its ‘We Don’t Just Get Social, We Are Social’ campaign.
The Shorty Awards honor the best work in digital and social media by the most creative and influential brands, agencies, organizations, and individuals whose work has excelled in creativity, strategy, and effectiveness. This season saw a record-breaking increase in the quantity and quality of the work submitted, with 32% more total entries compared to the highest previous season.
Hootsuite’s work has demonstrated outstanding performance across the judging criteria, which makes it a top contender for a Shorty Award in a most competitive year. The work is also eligible for competition in the Audience Honor — a separate honor voted by the public between April 12th to April 26th.
Last year, Hootsuite launched its new brand identity to bring the vibrancy (and chaos) of digital marketing to life, which was executed through a complete redesign of its logo, visual brand representation, tone of voice and its icon, Owly. Hootsuite designed an integrated campaign with a significant focus on digital and social media to challenge outdated perceptions of its brand and show that Hootsuite is social-first and supports its customers as their guide to the wild.
“It is an honor to be recognized as a finalist in not just one, but two prestigious marketing award categories,” said Billy Jones, Senior Director of Brand Marketing, Hootsuite. “This recognition is a testament to our team's hard work, creativity, and dedication to excellence. I am incredibly proud of our internal agency at Hootsuite for the massive effort that went into our rebrand, and of our social team for continuing to uplift people and promote creativity through the power of social.”
The 15th Annual Shorty Awards winners will be announced at the in-person celebration on May 24, 2023, at Tribeca 360º in New York City.
The winners and honorees are chosen by the Real Time Academy (RTA) — a panel of prominent experts and leaders in digital and social media who have been hand-selected on the basis of their deep industry knowledge, professional reputation, and outstanding achievements, including previous Shorty wins.
