You can now filter ‘X’ comments by organic or paid post type in Hootsuite.

Thanks to API improvements, ‘X’ comments are correctly associated with the post type they originated from, so your filters behave consistently across networks and give you a clearer view of engagement.

Filtering conversations by post type helps you understand how organic and paid content perform and where engagement is coming from. With this update, ‘X’ comments now align with the same filtering behavior already supported for other social networks in Hootsuite.

What’s new

  • ‘X’ comments now include post type information, indicating whether they originated from an organic or paid post. When you apply a post type filter, X comments are displayed accordingly.

  • This brings ‘X’ into alignment with how post type filtering already works for other networks in Hootsuite.

What changed

Previously, ‘X’ comments did not include an organic or paid post label. When you filtered by post type, no ‘X’ comments appeared because they could not be categorized.

From January 28 onward, ‘X’ comments are associated with the correct post type, so filtering by organic or paid posts now includes relevant X comments as expected.
