Introduction

Hootsuite is a social media management platform for creating and publishing content, managing customer conversations, analyzing performance, social listening, and employee advocacy.

Get started with Hootsuite

To get started with Hootsuite, you’ll need:

1. A Hootsuite account with access to the Hootsuite products you want to use.

2. Your social media accounts connected to Hootsuite. Connect the profiles and pages you want to publish to, analyze, manage conversations for, or use for employee advocacy.

Once your accounts are connected, you can use Hootsuite directly or connect supported Hootsuite products to an AI assistant using MCP.

Using Hootsuite with AI assistants

Hootsuite MCP servers let AI assistants securely access Hootsuite data and workflows on your behalf. Your AI assistant can only work with the Hootsuite products, workspaces, social accounts, and permissions available to your Hootsuite account.

Before using Perch, Nest, Lumen, or Parliament MCP, make sure the social accounts you want to work with are connected in Hootsuite. Then connect the appropriate Hootsuite MCP server to your AI assistant and sign in with your Hootsuite account.

Once connected, you can use natural language to create and schedule social content with Perch, manage conversations with Nest, find and share employee advocacy content with Parliament, and more.
