 Hootsuite receives award from Human Resources Director Canada at its Five-Star Diversity & Inclusion Employer Awards

VANCOUVER, BC — AUGUST 15, 2023 — Hootsuite is proud to announce it has been awarded the 2023 Five-Star Diversity & Inclusion Employer Award by Human Resources Director Canada (HRDC).

The awards recognize organizations who have successfully fostered healthy, diverse and inclusive working environments, workplaces that actively engage employees in their diversity, equity & inclusion efforts and hold themselves accountable for continuously improving.

Hootsuite has been on its DE&I journey since 2017 and continues the work required to create a workplace where everyone feels safe, welcome, valued, and empowered to do their best work without compromising who they are.

To determine the organizations with the most effective DE&I programs, HRD Canada invited nominations through an employer form, which asked companies to explain their diversity and inclusion initiatives and practices. From there, employees from nominated companies were asked to fill out an anonymous form evaluating their workplace on a number of metrics. To be considered, each organization had to gather a minimum number of employee responses based on overall size. Organizations that achieved an 80 percent or greater average satisfaction rating from employees were selected as winners of the award.
