Lumen, Lumen Lite, and Lumen by Talkwalker introduce the Public YouTube Catalog, giving you access to a Hootsuite owned repository of 15,000 monitored YouTube accounts directly within your topic and Quick Search results.
Previously, getting YouTube coverage meant adding and monitoring individual channels, using up limited monitoring capacity your team could apply elsewhere. With the catalog live, matching YouTube posts flow into your searches automatically, freeing your monitoring limits for sources that need active tracking while widening your overall coverage.

How it Works
Using the Public YouTube Catalog is simple: there's no setup beyond making sure YouTube is enabled as a media type in your project settings. Once enabled, catalog data flows automatically into your existing topics and Quick Search results.
Enable YouTube as a media type: Confirm coverage is turned on under Settings > General Settings > Media Types for your project.
Let topics pick up new coverage automatically: In Lumen, historical data refreshes automatically whenever you create or update a topic.
Rebuild for older Lumen by Talkwalker data: Run a project level rebuild to pull in catalog results older than 30 days.
Isolate catalog results when needed: Use the is:youtube_unmonitored operator alongside existing operators like author: and parenturl: to filter your results.
This gives your team broader, consistent YouTube coverage without extra setup, so you can put your monitoring capacity toward the sources that need it most.
