You told us that viewing and exporting analytics reports was sometimes slow. We’ve worked to improve your experience—and reports and overviews are now loading up to 10x faster.

Impact customers that need to report on a custom engagement rate specific to their business KPIs can now create custom calculated metrics. To have a custom calculated metric enabled, contact your customer success representative.

Enterprise customers can now filter scheduled posts by campaign, and create and manage campaigns from the Planner tab.

When you edit a scheduled message, it now opens in the new compose experience by default.

An improved message planning experience on mobile lets you view, edit, and delete messages. You can also tap on a time to schedule a new message. The new features are available in the latest version of Hootsuite for iOS and Android.

Asana helps you organize your team’s plans, projects, and processes. With Asana for Hootsuite, you can select a social media post, add tags, followers, and a comment, and assign it directly to a Asana workspace.

Make your tweets accessible to your entire audience by adding descriptive text (alt text) for Twitter images when publishing in the new compose experience. This ensures that audiences using screen readers—as well as anyone with a slower internet connection—can understand your posts even if they can’t see the image. We fixed an issue that caused some users to see a “500 Error” message when connecting a social network.

iOS 12 compatibility issues have been resolved in the latest version of the Hootsuite app (version 3.21.0).

You can now filter by social networks within your inbox on iOS and Android devices.

You can now filter post tables in analytic reports by campaign so that you can review results only for those posts associated with your campaign.

You can now add or remove social networks when editing your scheduled posts in our new compose experience.

You can now save draft messages from our new compose experience, then access and edit them as needed later from the planner. Also, when you select a social network for your draft message, you’ll be able to collaborate on that draft message with any team members who also have access to that network.

We’ve integrated Google Ads into Hootsuite Ads—so you can now manage your search ads together with social.

With this new integration, you can:

An issue where Pinterest and YouTube accounts were incorrectly displaying as pinned in the old Compose Message box has been resolved.

Apps can now read and create topics within Amplify, as well as add topics to posts when sending them through.

Customers can now view both an aggregated campaign summary and a per post summary in the overview area, so the overall campaign value can be seen, as well as the total ad spend per campaign.

While creating a new single or auto-boost campaign, customers may now select from Video Views or Reach to be optimized as their campaign objective.

While creating a new Autoboost campaign, users may now select from multiple triggers.

Social channels are now grouped by network, making it easier for customers to find and select multiple channels to filter their Inbox by.

Several improvements were rolled out to ensure more consistency around link scraping results and informing users whenever the link scraping preview feature does not meet their expectations.

Analytics customers can now select two different time frames when editing report dates to compare performance across time periods. This lets customers measure campaign impact, identify trends, and visualize changes in performance year-over-year, month-over-month, or across a custom time frame.

To visualize data across two time frames, tiles must be configured to one of the following formats:

• Line chart
• Column chart
• Number
• List

Inbox is now available in the Hootsuite mobile app! Monitor all Facebook and Twitter private conversations in one view, and easily read and reply to your community—on the go.

Available now on iOS and Android.

When selecting a network to publish to, you can now identify which Instagram accounts are business profiles, and if they have been enabled for direct publishing.

A “Business” label appears next to the handle of Instagram business profiles, and an airplane icon appears if a profile has been enabled for direct publishing.

Customers are now able to add locations to their Facebook Page and Instagram Business posts in the new compose experience.

Hootsuite Ads customers can now import data from a Google Sheet (CSV format) into Hootsuite Ads or export data from Hootsuite Ads into a Google Sheet. This lets customers sync contacts with third-party systems, such as CRMs.

With the new Stackla assets app, joint Hootsuite and Stackla customers can access assets they have saved in their Stackla account and add them to posts while publishing messages in Hootsuite.

With the new Streamchat app, customers can add chatbots for Facebook Messenger and Line to their Hootsuite dashboard. Customers can also combine automated and human responses to answer user questions, respond to comments, and much more.

Customers can now filter their Inbox by individual social channel to focus on one profile at a time and surface the most important messages.

Customers can now export their Post Performance table within Analytics in a CSV or Excel file. All configuration settings such as custom columns, filters and sorting criteria are preserved during the export.

With the addition of Inbox to the Hootsuite Dashboard, customers can now easily monitor all Facebook and Twitter private conversations in one view, and easily read and reply to their community. Inbox displays messages in threaded conversations and allows for easy collaboration between teams with assignments, filtering, and message tagging.

The experience of searching and adding metrics from the Metrics Library Drawer within Analytics has now been enhanced for better discoverability of metrics, which are now sorted in alphabetical order.

Customers are again able to search for and @mention Facebook Pages through the classic compose box within the dashboard.

The KAWO app for Hootsuite allows joint KAWO and Hootsuite customers to easily track content on WeChat and Weibo. Customers can review posts scheduled by their team and monitor the latest content stats within the Hootsuite dashboard.

To align with Facebook’s new requirements, Amplify now has a new sharing flow that is based on Facebook’s native ‘Share Card’. 

This new version includes several fixes, such as scheduled posts not appearing in Publisher, empty search results for Twitter streams (Android), @mentions not showing links in Twitter detail view (iOS).

The new Planner within the Hootsuite Dashboard is now out of beta and we have started a gradual release to all customers, to be completed over the next few weeks. It provides a better scheduling experience, allowing users to more easily view, manage and edit their scheduled content.

Enterprise customers with Brandwatch accounts can now monitor and respond to trends and gain valuable competitive insights from 90M+ non-owned channels all from within the Hootsuite dashboard. 

Teams and Organizations are now automatically created for new Team Plan customers upon setting up their Hootsuite account.

This new addition to Inbox within the Hootsuite dashboard enables two or more Facebook apps to collaborate within a single conversation in Messenger by passing control of the conversation between them. With the protocol, Hootsuite customers can use a chatbot for handling automated responses and Inbox for customer support with live agents.

New users will now be taken through a quick 5 step walkthrough of adding/selecting a social network, composing and previewing a post, adding media, scheduling, and sending.

The new My Posts Stream for Business Profiles enables customers to see the engagement on their content, engage with their community on their content and moderate comments.

Incorrect error messaging was appearing when an Instagram post was created <5 minutes prior to the post’s scheduled time. Accurate error messaging has now been added.

When adding a new Instagram profile, users were experiencing a 500 Internal Error. This issue has now been resolved.

Users with organizations who queued a downgrade were previously unable to access the dashboard after the downgrade. This issue has now been fixed. 

The process of adding social networks to Hootsuite has been improved and now allows customers to view the full names of their pages when importing them, as well as search for specific pages to import.

Previous analytics tabs (Overview, Boards, Post Performance) have now been replaced by a left-hand navigation menu that will include Specialized Reports, Boards and Apps.

This improvement means a smoother and more unified analytics experience for customers, bringing together all reporting in one place.

This new addition to Boost within the Hootsuite dashboard allows customers to pick specific posts they want to invest in, easily promote them, and review their performance.

The Amplify app stream was not loading in the Hootsuite dashboard. This issue has now been fixed. 

This new addition to AdEspresso allows customers to easily create Google Adwords campaigns and measure their performance with analytics. 

Impact Data Export/BI allows customers to have their data automatically exported from Hootsuite Impact to an internet accessible file store or database (server or business intelligence tool).

With this improvement, customers can now analyze social data from YouTube and Instagram in their business intelligence tool, alongside other key business data.

Hootsuite Impact customers can now track web analytics conversions of Facebook paid posts. This enables end to end measurement of all paid posts from when they appear on Facebook to when they hit a conversion goal on the destination website.

This new filtering capability allows Hootsuite Impact customers to filter out all posts that are hidden and have ad spend behind them, with the option to view only dark posts, or to exclude them altogether.
